Tufted buttons at both lower corners and joining of points Embroidered in multi-colored silk and metallic thread with pink holding stitches on beige background fabric. Circular design with small mirrors, larger mirrors at all four edges. Field of repeated small figure 8 motifs, border a running band of diamond motifs. Lined in faded red cotton. Typical Pashtun design.

In center, rectangle with small mirror and meandering stitching, surrounded by band of mirrors framed in multi-colored stitching. Lined in beige cotton. Typical Pashtun design.

In center, small solidly embroidered rectangle of metallic thread, surrounded by band of small mirrors interspaced with small red glass beads. This in turn surrounded by band of diamond-shaped motifs in metallic thread. Unlined. Typical Pashtun design.

In center, circular design, small star-like motifs and border all in gold metallic thread, surrounded by rectangular band of mirrors framed in purple, in turn surrounded by border of ornate elongated lozenges in gold thread. Brief description: Rectangular bag, similar on both sides with slight variation in color. Opening edged in orange silk. Tufts of multi-colored silk along sides. Embroidered in pink, orange, purple, green, yellow and maroon silk and metallic thread with yellow holding stitches on beige background fabric. Four squares in metallic thread consisting of four ribbed triangles placed point to point, each square edged by multi-colored bands of geometric designs. Narrow border of metallic thread around outer edge. At top, a row of solidly embroidered alternating squares of multi-colored silk and metallic thread. Unlined. Typical Pashtun design.

At top a wide cuff of alternating horizontal rows of geometric designs in metallic gold thread. At lower end a square with diamond-shaped motifs, surrounded by chevrons and double row of ribs, also in gold thread. Unlined. Typical Pashtun design.

Brief description: Rectangular pouch, similar on both sides. Opening lined with green silk, with thin tie cord of braided metallic thread (36 cm). At top, cuff of alternating bands of geometric designs in metallic gold thread with orange holding stitches and two lines of black holding stitches. In lower section, six horizontal and five vertical squares, with a small circle in the center on dark red background fabric. Unlined. Typical Pashtun design.

Solidly embroidered in orange, purple and maroon silk and metallic thread on orange background fabric. Central rectangle with alternating bands of orange, black and beige holding stitches, surrounded by band of diamonds. In turn surrounded by band of geometric shapes with red holding stitches. A small raised surface in each corner with three glass beads sewn on point. Lined in orange cotton. Typical Pashtun design.

Long vertical band of mirrors on purple silk background fabric, running almost entire length of purse and across center of upper pocket. Both pockets lined in cotton floral print, flap unlined. Inside pockets of various cotton floral prints and plain red fabric. Upper pocket with two sections, one going down full length of purse. Typical Pashtun design.

Solidly embroidered in metallic thread with orange holding stitches. Geometric diamond design stitched vertically and horizontally to give contrast. Sequins sewn on at points of diamonds. Bordered by wide band of double chevrons. Lower inside pocket similar solidly embroidered surface. Upper pocket in purple silk. Lined in various fabrics. Typical Pashtun design.

Central panel of diagonally ribbed diamond and triangle designs in alternative directions to give contrast, surrounded by wide band of slanting ribs. Flap lined in gray cotton. Brief description: Soft rectangular bag, similar on both sides with slight variation in color and design. Edged in solid row of white, orange and blue glass beads. Embroidered in orange and red silk and metallic thread on purple silk background fabric. Two medallions in center rectangular panel with radiating spokes framed in metallic thread and similar radiating spokes, with border of metallic thread. Band of running cursive design with border of orange silk and metallic thread. Opening lined with red silk. Body unlined. Typical Pashtun design.
