Vertical rectangular center panel with two rows of three mirrors outlined in red, orange and purple silk and metallic thread. Panel divided and bordered by thin band of metallic thread. Outer border of multi-colored running cursive motifs, bordered with silk and metallic thread. Unlined. Typical Pashtun design.

Embroidered in red silk and metallic thread on purple background fabric. Central panel and border in overall repeated cursive pattern, divided by narrow band of braided metallic thread. Lined in red fabric. Typical Pashtun design.

In center an 8-pointed star with hooked points in a field of cursive designs, outlined with narrow band of metallic thread. Outer border of repeated cursive motifs, outlined with narrow band of metallic thread. On reverse side, rectangular panels with similar designs as on the front. Unlined. Typical Pashtun design.

In center, an 8-pointed star, each point enclosing a branch motif in various colors. Small mirror in center of star and between the points. Outer circle diamond-shaped motifs in metallic thread joined at points. Lined in fuchsia fabric. Typical Pashtun design.

Small framed mirrors and alternate star motifs scattered in circle around field. Stylized flower in each corner. Border of multi-colored geometric motifs around outer edge. Unlined. Silk tufts at tip of flap, bottom corners of bag and joining of points. Embroidered in orange, black, red, fuchsia, purple and green silk and metallic thread on purple silk background fabric. In center diamond a hooked star design with small framed mirrors in each corner. Bordered by two bands of various geometric motifs, separated by thin bands of slanting ribs of metallic thread embroidery. Lined in pale orange fabric. Typical Pashtun design.

Brief description: Soft purse, similar colors on both sides but different designs. Thick border of white glass beads and three white beaded tassels at bottom of bag and two at either side of opening. Opening of flowered print with twisted drawstring with small cluster of white beads in middle of drawstring. Solidly embroidered in yellow, green, red, blue and gray. On one side, interlacing rows of evenly shaped diamonds. On other side, interlacing rows of two to three joined diamonds framed in corresponding zigzag lines. Both sides with outer border of multi-colored parallelograms. Lined in mauve floral cotton print. Typical Pashtun design.

Solidly embroidered in red, blue, yellow and pink silk. One side, rows of geometric diamond shapes. Other, center panel of even rows of small black diamonds on red background, bordered by wide band of large geometric designs. Lined in black cotton. Typical Pashtun design.

Brief description: Soft square purse, similar colors on both sides but different designs. Edged with short thick fringe of white glass beads, three beaded tassels at bottom, one longer tassel at both sides near top. Opening of floral print, short double drawstrings, strip of zipper around opening. Embroidered in maroon, green, yellow, beige and blue silk on black background fabric. One side, horizontal rows of small multi-colored diamonds, framed by narrow black band with spaced white glass beads. Other side, center square of geometric shapes, with spaced white beads, framed by narrow black band with spaced white beads. Outer border a band of small diamonds joined at points. Lined in dark maroon floral print. Typical Kohistani design.
