Brief description: A Khirgiz yurt screen made of individually wrapped straws in red, yellow, green, black and white wool held together by rows of string to form an overall carpet-like pattern of traditional ram horn, floral and geometric motifs. Along the top a narrow band of black-and-white and metallic patchwork with a black fringe. At left an unfinished section of bare straw.

Brief description: Pair of men’s heavy sandals, thick flat soles, flat heels, instep in shiny black leather with metallic thread embroidery at heel and toe; overall metallic thread embroidery of tiny scrolls pinpointed in red and blue covering all surfaces of front, side and back straps.
