Brief description: Woman’s cream-colored V-necked long-sleeved muslin dress, lined in white rayon. Bloused at waist, with belt. Embroidered in gold-colored silk in band around neck, cuffs and belt. Stylized tree of life around bottom of skirt. Small geometric motifs scattered over bodice and sleeves, rows of geometric motifs running vertically down skirt.

Brief description: Elaborate harmonium fitted into polished foldable wooden box with metal handles. This instrument was originally made in India, and brought to Afghanistan in the times of Amir Abdur Rahman Khan. According to the Afghan dealer, up to the Saur Revolution in 1978 it was kept in the Royal Palace and then sold with many other belongings of the royal family at an auction on the Chaman-e Hozuri.

Brief description: Large rebab, plain body of mulberry wood, fingerboard inlaid with nacre, open-work peg head, thirteen round tuning pegs on right side, three tuning pegs on each side of peg head; nylon frets, bone bridge, resonance box covered in skin. This instrument supposedly belonged to a famous musician at the royal court in Kabul.
