Brief description: Rectangular light blue tablecloth with eight matching napkins, all hemstitched; napkins embroidered with light blue geometric floral and leaf motif in one corner, tablecloth with large similar design in center and similar smaller designs at intervals around cloth. For tourist trade.

Brief description: Girl’s red dress in two parts; short-sleeved, triangular-necked top, with wide green band with mirrors around cuffs, front of neck and front hem; front hem hung with gold glass bobbles, front and sleeves with various mirrors and green embroidery, lacing ties at back. Flared skirt, with short apron at front with mirrors and green embroidery, hung at edge with gold glass bobbles.

Brief description: Woman’s dress with full skirt, long sleeves and round neck, bodice machine-embroidered in various linear patterns in chartreuse, fuchsia, green, orange and purple, gold glass bobbles at neck and front of waist, green tie belt, long sleeves in horizontal bands of green, fuchsia, yellow and dark blue, cuffs with linear embroidery and gold braid; skirt of long wide panels of green, fuchsia, yellow and dark blue with at hem wide band of gold metallic ribbon and braid.

Measurement: L. 112 cm W. 40 cm (at waist) Weight 570 g

Brief description: Black velvet vest, embroidered front and back in gold braid with circular floral designs with mirror in centers and linear designs with mirrors around edges. Lined in pink artificial silk.

Material/technique: Sheepskin, cotton / machine-embroidered

Origin/Period: Afghanistan / 20th C.

Brief description: Woman’s sheepskin coat dyed pale blue, pale blue fur lining, silky natural white wool added around hem, neck and cuffs; body of coat and sleeves with ornate machine-stitched embroidery in orange, around hem zigzag and wavy border.

Measurement: L. 109 cm W. 40 cm (at waist)

Condition: Worn, matted
