description: Rectangular tent bag, one long piece folded over
and sewn up both sides with braided wool. Front, flat weave with
horizontal bands of pile of varying widths on pale madder background.
Traditional Tekke dowry piece.

Brief description: Bag
to hold ends of tent poles. One wide piece of flat weave embroidered
in green, brown, black, yellow and white silk, folded over and sewn
down the side, wool loops and long tasseled tie cords (100 cm) at top
corner; round flat bottom; long multicolored tassels hang from hem of
bottom and center bottom. Field of diagonal rows of Bastani guls
with stylized ram horns. Traditional Ersari dowry piece.

on horseback against attacking lions. Border of purple and pink
flowers on all four sides (not shown). Painted by Samangani in the

to face in battle. One warrior with bow and arrow, one with arrows
projecting from both eyes. Armed followers on horseback grouped at
either side. Border of pale purple and orange flowers on all four
sides. Painted by Samangani in the style of Timurid miniatures.

tent curtain, cord at top corners, fringe at the bottom, ornate kelim
at bottom with almond motif. In center field wide horizontal and
vertical band in form of cross, each panel showing candlestick and
tree motifs, wide borders. Keldar weave.
