Brief description: Small rectangular purse with square flap, one piece folded over to form lower pocket; upper pocket runs full length of purse. Sides, flap and pockets edged with solid row of blue glass beads. Embroidered in yellow, orange and silver metallic thread on purple silk background fabric. Row of spoked medallions with small mirror in center of each, bordered by S motifs. Lined in plain orange cotton. Pashtun.

Measurements: L. 22 cm (incl. flap) W. 11 cm Weight 54 g

Condition: Good, lining faded

Brief description: Rectangular purse with square flap, one piece folded over to form lower pocket. Upper pocket runs full length of purse. Sides, flap and pockets edged with solid rows of white, blue and clear glass beads. Embroidered in green, orange, yellow, red and gold metallic thread on burgundy silk background fabric. Row of stepped squares in metallic thread outlined in green down center, bordered by row of small mirrors surrounded by blue and clear glass beads, and outer row of geometric design in metallic thread. Lined in red floral print. Pashtun.

Measurements: L. 26 cm (incl. flap) W. 13 cm Weight 110 g

Condition: Badly worn, soiled, mirrors missing

Brief description: Rectangular purse with triangular flap, one long piece folded over to form two inside pockets, upper pocket runs full length of purse. Sides and flap edged with fringe of loose blue glass beads. Embroidered overall in green, yellow, dark and light orange, purple, burgundy, dark blue and silver metallic thread on fuchsia silk background fabric. Row of multi-colored medallions with mirror in center, running border of mirrors at sides and around pockets. Lined in floral print. Pashtun.

Thin cotton tie-cord. Unlined. Pashtun.

Brief description: Small soft square bag, three corners folded over and sewn up the sides, triangular flap, edged in gold metallic braid. Embroidered in orange, pale green, burgundy, purple and dark blue on pink silk background fabric. Gold bosses surrounded by row of blue glass beads sewn on flat tufts of black cotton at lower corners, joining of points and point of flap. Lined in plain beige cotton. Twisted tie-cord. Pashtun.

Condition: Badly faded, worn, torn
