Picture of the Day

View into the valley of Bajgah. In the foreground a water channel (jui), made of stones and soil, crosses the road. On the right side one of the corner towers of the fort/qala. In its shadow a few horses are waiting and Afghan men in traditional clothes are sitting on the ground. On the left side two white horses are grazing and someone is sitting beside a holy grave. A pole decorated with shreds of material deposed by pilgrims praying for the fulfilment of a desire. A low wall made of loose stones encircles the grave.
