In the foreground some one- and two-storied houses with flat roofs, separated by mud walls. Behind the village ploughed fields and leafless trees. In the background lies an open valley with single houses and small hamlets on the soft slopes of hills.

Bird’s-eye view of a meandering river in the bottom of a narrow valley with steep, rocky slopes. The remains of a building without roof can be seen on a ledge in the lower right corner. Some vegetation grows on the rock in the foreground. The hole on top of it could be the entrance to a small coal-mine.
