|AEE 050-1| Das ziyarat-e sakhi, am Fuss des Westhanges des koh-e asma’i gelegen, von Norden gesehen. Rechts im Hintergrund die Ebene von chahar deh. Links und vor dem Heiligtum liegt ein ausgedehntes Gräberfeld; südlich des Heiligtums ist der Berghang terrassiert, dort finden die Feiern zum Jahresbeginn = nowruz am 21. März statt. ♦♦♦ The ziyarat-e sakhi lies at the foot of the western slope of the koh-e asma’i and is seen here from the north. In the right background is the plain of chahar deh. Around the sanctuary stretches an extensive burial ground, with several platforms for graves visible to the left of the shrine precinct. South of the ziyarat where on 21st of March the festivities of nowruz = New Year’s Day are celebrated; the hillside appears to have been terraced.

|AEE 051-1| Im Gegensatz zur Original-Legende zeigt der Schattenwurf (insbesondere auf AEE 051-5), dass diese Aufnahmen am späteren Nachmittag entstanden sind, denn die Sonne steht weit im Westen. Die Besucher des Neujahrs-Festes (nowruz) am ziyarat-e sakhi aus den nördlichen Quartieren Kabuls ziehen über den Sattel des kotal-e aliabad heimwärts. ♦♦♦ Contrary to the original legend, the direction of the shadows (especially on AEE 051-5) gives evidence that these pictures were taken in the later afternoon, showing the visitors of the nowruz Festival at the ziyarat-e sakhi taking their way home over the saddle of kotal-e aliabad to the northern parts of Kabul.

|AEE 052-1| Das von einer Mauer eingefasste Heiligengrab hat seit 1916 zusätzlich zum überkuppelten Hauptbau einen Eingangs-Vorbau auf der Westseite erhalten. Im Vordergrund breiten die Besucher Teppiche und Kelims auf dem terrassierten Berghang aus. Links im Hintergrund die Zeltdächer von Marktständen und für Damen. ♦♦♦ The ziyarat is enclosed by a high wall. To the west of the white shrine with its distinctive dome, stands a two-storeyed entrance building. In the foreground the visitors are spreading carpets on the terraced slope of the mountain. In the left background are tents for market stands and ladies in purdah.
