A group of nine men clad in padded coats (chapan) and lambskin hats sitting and standing with seven two-humped Bactrian camels, which were used for the transportation of the luggage of the ABC. Two of the camels are wearing headdresses and large brass bells. The camel in the middle is additionally decorated with adornments around its knees. Three men are holding wooden sticks in their hands.

View of the sulcated structure of the western flank of the table mountain, bordering the Zulfikar Pass. Behind the ridge the crest of another mountain range is visible. In the foreground grow some shrubs on even ground. On the right side the meandering Hari rud River is visible. This photograph was most probably taken by Dr. Charles Owen, mentioned as No. 2 in his diary.
