Almost the same view like ELD 090, but unfinished: the Military Camp of the 11th Bengal Lancers on the bank of the Oxus River. In the right background dominates the view of the conical mound which is probably part of Koh-e Chash Baba, near Dev Killah.Unlike the sketches ELD 001-107 this sketch was not photo-lithographed.

ELD 131
A watercolour sketch of a fortification on top of a steep hillock, showing the Russian flag. On the left margin is the shore of the Oxus, on the right margin seems to be some kind of a bazaar. In the foreground lie and stand four Bactrian camels and five horses with Turkomans. The building in the centre could be a ziyarat under a large tree. This sketch shows most probably Kilif Castle, as at Kerki (60 miles downstream) there is no matching hillock close to the shore of the river.Unlike the sketches ELD 001-107 this sketch was not photo-lithographed.

ELD 132
18 tiny pencil sketches of men, horses, and two samovars. This draft sketches are not by ELD, but were taken by William Simpson. These drafts were later assembled to one larger sketch and published as an engraving in the ILN 1885/1, on p. 282.Unlike the sketches ELD 001-107 this sketch was not photo-lithographed.

ELD 133
A sketch of the junction of Murghab and Kushk Rivers. This sketch is not by ELD, but was taken by William Simpson and published in two different versions as engravings in the ILN 1885/1, on p. 251 and on p. 403. It is missing in the Simpson album, which is kept at Hatfield House. But there are several pencil sketches by ELD, given in exchange to William Simpson. As William Simpson had sent all his sketches to the editor of the ILN and collected the originals only after his return to London, the existence of his sketch among those by ELD shows that they remained in contact after the ABC.Unlike the sketches ELD 001-107 this sketch was not photo-lithographed.
