Zur Herstellung von Schwarzpulver leert ein Mann aus einem Kessel, der an einem Seil hängt, ein zähflüssiges Gemisch von Salpeter, Holzkohle und Schwefel in einen Lehm-Behälter, aus dem dieses in mehrere flache Becken verteilt wird um darin zu trocknen. ♦♦♦ To produce gun powder, a man fills a pasty fluid of nitre, charcoal, and sulphur in a mud-container, from where it is distributed into several flat tanks for dehydration.
