On Sunday morning the Divine Service, called Drum Service (as the altar is a pile of drums) is held on the Polo Ground, south of the Agra Club. In the foreground, behind the military chaplain stands the military band. In front of the drum altar the high-ranking officers in full dress and egret are positioned, surrounded by the different military units. Everything was prepared and is executed with highest precision.
At the same time the Amir visited and photographed the Taj Mahal for five hours. He asked permission to present a marble balustrade round the rather dangerous entrance to the crypt below the cupola. In the afternoon the Amir, together with Lord Kitchener, inspected and photographed the Agra Fort till darkness set in.
