Eine Serie von Aufnahmen mit Ausblicken vom Abhang des Berges koh-e asma’i, oberhalb Deh Afghanan. Im Vordergrund das Quartier Andarabi und die beidseitige Uferbebauung am Kabul-Fluss mit der dominanten Kunstgewerbe-Schule; dahinter die Kuppel des Mausoleums von Timur Shah. Im Hintergrund die Stadtburg bala hissar und die Stadtmauer bis zum bala borj (oberer Turm), ursprünglich ein buddhistischer Stupa. ♦♦♦ A series of photographs, providing views over the city of Kabul, which were taken from the slope of the koh-e asma’i, above Deh Afghanan. In the foreground lie the urban district of Andarabi and the new buildings along the Kabul River with the dominant art school. Behind it is the cupola of Timur Shah’s mausoleum. In the central background rises the citadel of bala hissar and the city wall, up to the bala borj (upper tower), a former Buddhist stupa.
