ER 126 — Elektrizitätswerk in Jabal us-Seraj

Zur Beleuchtung seiner Paläste und zum Betrieb des mashinkhana in Kabul liess Emir Habibullah Khan in Jabal us-Seraj ein erstes Wasser-Kraftwerk erstellen, das 1911-1918 durch den amerikanischen Ingenieur Jewett gebaut wurde. Aussenaufnahme des Turbinenhauses; am linken Bildrand eine Gruppe von Arbeitern mit zwei Ausländern.

In order to get electricity for his palaces and fo the mashinkhana in Kabul, Emir Habibullah Khan ordered in 1909 the construction of a hydro-power station at Jabal us-Seraj. It was installed by the American engineer Jewett from 1911 to 1918.
