Die Festung qal'a-ye jadid. Blick von aussen auf die ca. 6 m hohe Mauer auf der Westseite der qal'a-ye jadid. In der Bildmitte ein grosses offenes Tor im Schutz einer halbrunden Bastion. Am rechten Bildrand eine Eckbastion. Im Vordergrund der 8 m breite Graben. Am linken Bildrand ist über der Mauer ein Teil des Dachgesimses des Innentores von Bild K 42 zu sehen. Im Torweg und vor dem Tor einige Männer und ein Reiter auf einem Packpferd.

The fortress of qal'a-ye jadid. The view is of the exterior of the 6-meter-high west wall of qal'a-ye jadid. In the middle of the picture is a large open gate flanked by a demilune bastion. At the right edge of the picture is a corner bastion. In the foreground is the 8-meter-wide ditch (moat). On the left side of the picture part of the eaves of the inner gate of photo K 42 can be seen above the wall. In the gateway and in front of the gate there are some men and a rider on a pack horse.
