Die Festung von qal'a-ye jadid. Blick vom Zwinger auf die Aussenseite des Innentores an der Westseite der Grenzfestung qal'a-ye jadid. Am rechten Bildrand steht die Flügelmauer, die im Bild K 41 durch das offene Aussentor erkennbar ist. Geschnitzte Holzfenster und ein Kranzgesims mit Gips-Stuckaturen schmücken das Obergeschoss. Das Tor wird von zwei Soldaten mit geschultertem Gewehr (mit aufgepflanztem Bajonett) bewacht. Im Torweg zwei Männer zu Fuss und ein Reiter. Im Vordergrund zwei Männer mit ungesattelten Pferden.

The fortress of qal'a-ye jadid. The view is from the inner bailey on the outside of the inner gate in the western wall of the border fortress qal'a-ye jadid. On the right side of the picture is the dark wall, which can be seen in picture K 41 through the open outer gate. Carved wooden windows and cornices with plaster stucco adorn the upper floor. The gate is guarded by two soldiers with shouldered rifles (with mounted bayonets). In the gateway there are two men on foot and one mounted. In the foreground two men lead unsaddled horses.
