At nowruz, at the fair around the ziyarat-e sakhi many simple homemade toys are offered for sale. For the elder boys these are preferably colourful kites, for younger kids the pinwheels, little carts, airplanes, rattles and other wooden toys are preferred. Special gifts are tiny greenhouses (gulkhana) to enjoy the start of spring.
