Dost Mohammad Khan 22 - ۲۲ wurde wieder als Emir eingesetzt und regierte sein Land für weitere 20 Jahre. Während dieser Zeit drangen im Norden das russische und im Süden das anglo-indische Kolonialreich immer weiter gegen die Grenzen Afghanistans vor. Die allmähliche Eroberung und Eingliederung der zentralasiatischen Khanate (Khiva, Samarkand und Bokhara) ist dabei das Gegenstück zu der fortschreitenden Einbeziehung der indischen Fürstentümer in den englischen Herrschaftsbereich.

Dost Mohammad Khan 22 – ۲۲ was restored as Emir and ruled his country for a further 20 years. During this period, the Russian colonial empire in the North and the Anglo-Indian in the South were moving ever closer to Afghanistan's borders. The gradual conquest and assimilation of the Central Asian khanates (Khiva, Samarkand and Bokhara) was the counterpart to the continued incorporation of princely states in India under British rule.

Dost Mohammad Khan 22 – ۲۲ est alors rétabli au rang d’émir et règne sur le pays durant encore 20 ans. Au cours de cette période, la pression se fait de plus en plus forte aux frontières de l’Afghanistan, sous l’impulsion de la Russie impériale au nord et sous celle de l’empire colonial anglo-indien au sud. La conquête progressive et l’intégration des khanats d’Asie centrale (Khiva, Samarcande et Boukhara) constituent le pendant de l’intégration graduelle des principautés indiennes dans la sphère d’influence anglaise.
