Opening of floral print, double drawstrings. Solidly embroidered in yellow, green, blue, orange and red silk on beige background fabric. Vertical rows of multi-colored interlocking diamonds. Lined in floral print. Kohistani design.

Brief description: Soft square purse, similar colors on both sides but different designs. Edged with very long tassels of multi-colored twisted threads ending in small clusters of white glass beads, at corners and middle of three sides. Opening of printed fabric with double drawstrings. Embroidered in fuchsia, orange, green, blue and yellow silk on beige background fabric. One side, rows of large clusters of small diamond joined at points and outlined in yellow and red. Outer border along four sides, wide band of narrow multi-colored rows of satin stitching. Other side, rows of small interlocking diamonds separated by narrow black line. Outer border along four sides, multi-colored bands with X motifs. Lined in floral print. Kohistani design.

Opening of dark floral print, braided double drawstrings ending in glass beaded ball. Solidly embroidered in fuchsia, pink and purple silk. One side, vertical rows of interlocking zigzags. Other side, rows of clusters of crude double diamonds in black, outlined in red and pink. One side lined in dark print. Pashtun design.

Solidly embroidered in red, yellow, beige, blue and fuchsia silk. Horizontal rows of interlocking double and triple diamond shapes. Lined in purple fabric. Kohistani (?) design.

Embroidered in pink, green, blue, yellow, black, red, white and orange silk. Two vertical bands of blue and green diamonds framed in black enclosing small red and orange crosses, with on either side multi-colored comb motifs. Around rim of opening and down center of bag narrow bands of multi-colored chain stitching. Lined in beige fabric. Uzbek design.

Edged in thin fringe of white, blue and transparent glass beads along bottom and one side and around opening, snaps on both sides inside opening. Opening bordered in green silk. Embroidered in thick flat braid of metallic thread on pink ribbed velour. Wide horizontal band along top and center of bag, enclosing curvilinear design. Figure 8 design along lower band with dotted single white beads. Unlined. Maybe a Bokhara design.

Brief description: Soft pouch, one piece folded double, similar on both sides. Solidly embroi-dered in green, white, blue, yellow, purple and maroon silk on red back-ground fabric. Six horizontal rows and six vertical rows (one folded over) of squares delineated by pale green lines of chain stitching. Each square divided in two diagonal triangles of different colored stitching, giving three-dimensional effect. Upper border three bands of running linear designs. Unlined. Ersari Turkoman design.
