Brief description: Square cloth, embroidered overall in white, black, orange, fuchsia, beige and olive green on red background fabric. Two squares of stylized floral motifs and mirrors and two squares of ribbed geometric designs and two mirrors bisected by loose braid of black thread held in place by red thread, similar black braid around edge. Border of floral motifs and mirrors. Small round loose tufts of pink in center of squares and spaced around edges. Baluch design.

Brief description: Heavy rectangular cloth used at wedding ceremonies to cover sweets. Embroidered in narrow bands of cursive motifs in orange, fuchsia, burgundy, purple and red on green background fabric. The widest bands have small mirrors outlined in multi-colored hook motifs. Bands separated by thin silver braid and one metallic ribbon down center. Borders of gold metallic ribbon and two cursive rows of silver metallic ribbon. At four corners a round beaded ornament with small mirror, similar more simple ornament in center. Edged in thick loose fringe of twisted purple thread each with three small blue glass beads. Crudely lined in plain red cotton. Pashtun design.

Brief description: Woman’s head dress, a curtain of brown twisted wool in natural shades of brown is held between two bands of black cloth. From the lower edge hang fourteen embossed dome-shaped gilded silver pendants with insets of tiny blue beads and long tassel of twisted brown thread. The necks of the pendants have ornate appliques and tiny coral beads and similar appliques hang from rim. Turkoman.

Brief description: Articulated necklace with three panel of round inset lapis, separated by vertical rows of red and green glass insets, at either end triangular terminals with loops for attachment. From lower rim hang elongated hollow fish-shaped pendants with another row of thin flat round embossed appliques. The pendants are held in place by thin strips of black cloth and clusters of blue glass beads. Pashtun design.

Five vertical multi-colored bands of geometric motifs. Lined in pale green corduroy. Uzbek design.

Brief description: Padded triangular amulet in purple tinsel. At apex twisted cord with two round black beads, and loop of threaded cloves and large round dried white peas. From either side of lower edge, two small purple tinsel amulets with round seed and purple tinsel ball. From center, larger green tinsel amulet with five tassels of length of multi-colored beads ending in purple tinsel balls. Between them, two small looped decorations of beads and peas.
